Love's Bridge is a program in Perm, Russia which provides services to street kids. We have provided funding for a wood joinery which provides job training to boys. Many are now supporting themselves by marketing the wooden items they make. We also support educational projects in orphanages which demonstrate to orphanage staffs the value of educational programs. Love's Bridge provides medical care, job counseling and job placement services to street kids and youth in danger of becoming homeless. Education about AIDS, alcohol and drugs is provided. Incentives are offered to street kids to encourage attendance at school and/or work. A conservative number for youth whose lives we have touched would be 2500. Maureen Slack has visited Love's Bridge in Perm twice. It is an Oregon non profit agency so donations can be tax deductible but there are no U.S. paid employees or administrative costs.
